I don't like to be photographed

For the first time the term "photogenicity" was used by French film director Louis Delluc in the twenties of the last century.
Under this concept, he considered the ability of a person to look better in a picture than in real life.

So why does a person choose only one or two out of hundreds of pictures taken, in which he seems to himself the most attractive?
The fact is that a person's idea of his appearance does not always coincide with what he sees in the picture, if the result differs from the desired image for the worse, then the photo is considered unsuccessful a priori.

But photogenicity is an acquired quality rather than an innate one, it is a skill of working with a camera.
